We are pleased to announce a new partnership with the University of Manchester to provide S&C support to our senior GB Men’s programme.
This support will be key in continuing to progress the athletes in the men’s programme, while supporting the wider BVF programme in their aspirations towards major International competitions and ultimately Paralympic qualification.
Performance lead Joanna Cook said: “We were really impressed with the set up at the University of Manchester and the support they can provide the men’s programme. As with all aspects of a performance programme, S&C is key in ensuring we have physically fit, robust athletes that have the ability to withstand the rigours of competition.”
Sports Performance Officer Jon Kantor said: “UoM Sport are delighted to work with British Sitting Volleyball to optimise the squad’s physical preparation to qualify for the Paralympic Games. This partnership not only expands UoM Sport’s existing support for university athletes and national programmes but also showcases our dedication to social responsibility by empowering athletes and promoting inclusivity. The collaboration between UoM Sport and British Volleyball is poised to make a significant impact on the Senior Men’s Squad’s quest for Paralympic glory, solidifying the University’s position as a leading institution in sports development and performance support.”
